Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne)Jack Crawford is a Special Agent with the FBI. He heads up the Behavioral Science Unit.He is dedicated to solving the world's worst serial killer cases with the help of gifted criminal profiler Will Graham and renowned psychiatrist-- and, unknown to Crawford, serial killer-- Dr. Hannibal LecterCrawford is a straight shooter who can be charming one minute and gruff the next. Like everyone on the BSU team he is highly intelligent but he is not above shouting at people to get his way or when things go wrong. He presides over the deliberations made by Will, Lecter, and Dr. Alana Bloom, and has the final say on what will happen with the investigation. Although he is tenacious in his pursuit of justice he is not unsympathetic to the toll that it might take on Will's sometimes fragile psyche.
