Cheryl Mason is the female protagonist in the first instalment of the Silent Hill game franchise. She is an astrial projection of half of Alessa Gillespie's soul.Background:-When Alessa Gillespie was burned alive in order to immolate her body for the Order's god, she used her powers to split her soul. The other half of the soul took shape as a baby and was left by Alessa on the side of the road. The baby was adopted by Harry Mason and his wife. They named her Cheryl. Seven years after Cheryl's birth, Alessa's mother Dahlia uses a spell to lure the missing portion of soul back to Silent Hill. The now widowed Harry Mason took Cheryl on vacation to Silent Hill, but the car crashed and Cheryl went missing. At the end of the game, despite Harry's best efforts to save her, Cheryl and Alessa refuse and give birth to a premature god, which Harry defeats as the final boss If the bad ending of the game is obtained, Cheryl's voice will thank Harry for everything and say a final goodbye. However, if the good ending of the game is obtained, Cheryl's voice will only say Daddy. Aliases:-Alessa Gillespie is the creator of Cheryl. She is the missing half of Cheryl's soul.Heather Mason:-Following the end of the first game, Alessa gives Harry a baby that is both the fused soul of herself and Cheryl. The baby is renamed Heather by Harry, to avoid her exposure to Silent Hill's Order, however, she was eventually sought out by Alessa's childhood friend, Claudia Wolf.Heather (Cheryl/Alessa) becomes Harry Mason's role and defeats the Order's god, just as her father had done seventeen years before.
