George Taylor was born around 1923 and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He served in the United States Air Force during the Second World War and during the Korean War. He was selected in the early 1960s to be an astronaut at ANSA, by this time having attained the rank of colonel. He was Mission Commander on the Icarus colonization mission, a position he welcomed due to his strong feelings of misanthropy. The Icarus launched in 1973. His date of death is conjectural, being either January 3979 or 3955. Show less «
