Dukey Test was rescued from the pound by Johnny Test and was genetically modifed by Johnny's genius twin sisters Mary and Susan. He's fully sentient and operates at the level of an adult human, stands upright, can talk and likes coffee and steak. As part of his programming, he's been trained in various martial arts. Oddly, though, Dukey tends to be the first one to panic and even though he's usually the pragmatic and thoughful one of the group, tends to give in and go along with the rest of the family.He's fiercely loyal to Johnny, who refers to him as his 'fuzzy buddy'. Johnny's equally loyal to Dukey and has gone to some rather extreme efforts (unlike Johnny normally) to show his appreciation.Dukey's abilities are generally hidden from the public especially from the Test parents who forbade Mary and Susan's use of genetic modification in the house. When around other people, Dukey will drop onto all fours and act like a normal dog. The exceptions are Mr. Black and Mr. White and most of the Area 51.1 staff, Bling Bling and the other regular villains.The citizens of Pork Belly seem unwilling or unable to realise that Dukey is a dog. His usual guises (shorts and a tshirt that reads 'Not a Dog' are enough disguise. In the rare instances that someone sees Dukey and realises he's a dog, simply telling them that he's a boy with an usual 'hair disorder' or that they're hallucinating usually does the trick.Dukey's exact age or birthday isn't known since he was a stray originally, and it's been suggested that the genetic modification done on him isn't permanent and has to be renewed periodically, so it's difficult to guess what Dukey's lifespan is - but then again, no one's aged in the show since it started... :)Dukey has a sort-of crush on Sissy's pink dog, parallelling Johnny's crush on Sissy... but this hasn't been explored very much in the show.
