Dr. Otto Hasslein was the Senior Scientific Advisor to the President of the United States in 1973. It is intimated, through referrals to his last name (e.g. Hasslein's theory ) that his theories made possible the time barrier-breaking space flights that brought the spaceship commanded by Colonel George Taylor and the spaceship carrying Astronaut Brent and his Skipper 2000 years into the future in a relatively short time.
