Nicholas Garrigan was the fictional doctor to Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. He is a reserved personality who only chose Uganda as his destination after spinning a globe and stopping it at random, choosing whichever nation he landed on. Garrigan also has a way with women, sleeping with women as random as a seatmate on a bus to one of Idi Amin's wives. However, he is a good person who watches Amin spiral into madness over time as his paranoia grows stronger and stronger. He eventually attempts to flee Amin's reign, however he is caught and tortured by the dictator's men, who nearly kill him before Garrigan is rescued and saved by one he was counted as an enemy, and he escapes Amin just before his downfall.
