Doctor Finklestein is one of the characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas . He is a mad sctiest that creates monsters and technology for the residents of Halloween Town. He is based on Doctor Frankenstein.He created Sally (who is based on the Bride of Frankenstein) and acts as a father to her. He is trict, but caring and amorous.Apparently, he is a zombie, since he can open his skull to reveal his brain.In The Nightmare Before Christmas , he provides Jack Skellington with his killer toys, his coffin sleigh and his skeleton reindeers.In The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge , Oogie Boogie switches Doctor Finklesteinb's brain with a different one, thus gaining control of his body. However, Jack bring Finklestein's brain back to his body.He appears in all three Kingdom Hearts videogames.In Kingdom Hearts , he creates an artificial heart to control the Heartless, but Oogie Boogie steals it and gains control of them. In the end, Oogie is defeated.In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories , Finklestein creates a option that can restore memories. However, whenever Sora and his friend sniff it, Heartless appear. Oogie Boogie steals it and swallows it whole, hoping to gain control of the Heartless. Instead, he is filled with intense fear for a reason, and Sora ends up defeating him again.In Kingdom Hearts II , Jack ties top help Santa gain, and he gain provides what he needs.
