David Estes (David Harewood)Ambitious and cunning, David Estes (David Harwood) is the Director of the Counterterrorism Center for the CIA. He is Carrie and Saul's boss and often clashes with them both. David and Carrie have a particularly strained relationship because David cheated on his wife with Carrie and the affair caused the end of his marriage. Although David and Carrie are no longer romantically involved, there is a lot of resentment remaining between the two. He is the one who pulled Carrie out of Iraq and put her at a desk job at Langley when she infiltrated an Iraqi prison.David takes personal credit for the rescue of Sergeant Nicholas Brody and does not want to even entertain Carrie's theories that Brody is a sleeper operative for Al Qaeda. He has goals beyond being a CIA director and is constantly scheming on how to get ahead and ingratiate himself to the President and Vice-President. Show less «
