David Collins was the spoiled only child of Roger & Laura Collins. Born slightly less than 9 months after Roger & Laura's marriage which took place immediately following their testimony which convicted her ex-boyfriend of manslaughter, Roger always questioned David's actual paternity, but did his best to raise David as his own son. David's mother was committed to a sanitarium when he was too young to remember her, then died in a fire just before returning to Collinwood as a member of the undead. Doted on by his Aunt Elizabeth, David got away with practically everything from going back on his promises to not go outside at night or to The Old House on the family estate, to attempted murder.
