Chris McLean is the celebrity host who has hosted each season of the 'Total Drama' animated TV series, and supposedly is also the show's writer, background designer, director, and executive producer. He is of regular build and somewhat taller than the average person. He has tidy black hair and a light beard, always wears a light navy blue v-neck, and beige jeans. He has confirmed he is 30 years of age. He is voiced by Christian Potenza.Chris, following a celebrity-like personality, is incredibly egotistical, and is a massive narcissist. He frequently shows zero concern for his contestants and staff alike, and finds joy out of their misery and ratings from viewers who share his narcissistic tone.As the series has progressed through each season, Chris has become more sadistic, with more and more challenges becoming incredibly life-threatening, and his goal in spreading misery onto people around him changing towards a more unhealthy obsession for pain and suffering.Despite the celebrity personality he prides himself to be, he can show signs of humanity, at times showing concern that he might push the contestants too far, and kill them when he doesn't intend to. He prides himself in his job, and will go vast distances to protect his passion. He obsesses in the life of luxury from being a celebrity, having several tanning beds and frequently being spotted relaxing inside a Jacuzzi.Other known background about him is, while working his way up the popularity ladder, he attempted jobs as a Cooking Show host, and starred in a boy band, both ending abysmally poorly. He has a massive hatred for the network his show airs on, as well as its lawyers, frequently ignoring their calls going through with dangerous challenges despite their advice. He can also sometimes act childish, mostly when things don't go his way.He has hosted every season of Total Drama from its first, Total Drama Island , to its most recent, Total Drama Pahkitew Island .
