Cappie is a main character of the show. He is introduced as an extremely relaxed and fun guy, sometimes too relaxed. He is carefree and fun-loving, but extremely smart. He is not concerned with his grades only with his house, Kappa Tau. He stays the President of KT throughout the series until the end of the last episode. He is constantly partying and drinking with his brothers. He originally had no intentions of leaving Kappa Tau and CRU, but in the end decided to leave with Casey after he graduated. His declared major after 5 years of random classes was Philosophy.As the story progresses, Rusty brings out a new side of him when Cappie takes him on as his little brother. Rusty, being the complete opposite of Cappie, makes him see things differently. Cappie slowly begins to realize how he has messed up his life. He constantly tries to fix his relationships, especially with Casey.Before the show, Cappie dated Casey. He dated Casey even when his best friend Evan liked her. They dated through their freshmen year until he showed he wasn't good enough for her. She then moved onto Evan. They date for sometime before they break up. Before Cappie and Casey got back together, Cappie dated Rebecca and a girl named Lana, among others. Finally, Cappie earns back Casey's love and trust by the end of the series.Within minutes of the end of the series finale his real name is revealed: Captain John Paul Jones.
