Brendan Filone was Christopher Moltisanti's friend and partner in crime and an associate in the Tony Soprano crew. He was a major character in the first season. A smart-mouth and egotistical loose cannon, he was still capable and, like many young gangsters, wanted to move up the ladder too quickly. Brendan was addicted to crystal meth, and may have sold it occasionally with Christopher. However, his real skill was hijacking trucks. Brendan and Christopher got themselves in trouble, hijacking Comley Trucking trucks and taking their DVD players. Unfortunately, Comley was under protection from Corrado Junior Soprano, and Junior immediately asked for restitution. The price was a little steep, so to ensure that he got enough money himself, he went to hit Comley Trucking again. However, Christopher refused to go with him, and as a result, the driver was shot and Brendan was horrified. People who don't play by the rules don't last very long in this type of life. Brendan was shot to death in his bathtub, clean through the eye (Moe Greene Special, a Mafia killing meaning his eyes had gotten too big for his stomach ) by Junior's trigger man, Mikey Palmice as Junior watched. The scene was inter-cut with tender music in a magnificent montage reminiscent of the Godfather execution sequences, to decorate the violence.
