During WWII, she would suffer from depression and malutrition in Nazi-occupied Holland. Post-war she studied ballet and modeled unit a film producer saw her. Early bit parts got her noticed by Collette, a French writer and she instantly became her dream choice to play Gigi on Broadway. Mega-stardom came for Roman Holiday. She worked tirelessly for UNICEF and world hunger, a cause she closely identified with as a young girl during the war. Hepburn died on Jan 20, 1993.
