Allison Marie McBeal (a.k.a. Ally ) fell in love with Billy Alan Thomas, the boy next door, when they were children. Billy gave Ally her first kiss, and her first French kiss. They also sniffed each other's bottoms like dogs. When they were teens, Ally let Billy take her virginity in the back of a car - a Mustang.Billy decided to become a lawyer, so Ally started attending Harvard and pursuing a law degree in order to attend college with him. However, when Billy decided, after one year at Harvard, to move to Michigan to finish his degree, she decided to stay where she was, and complete her studies to become a lawyer.By the time Ally became a lawyer in Boston, she had lost contact with Billy.Jack Billings, one of the men at the law firm where Ally worked, sexually harassed her. She filed a complaint, but the company sided with Jack, because he was a rain maker, so she quit her job.Almost as soon as she quit her job, Ally ran into a schoolmate from law school, Richard Fish, who, with a partner, John Cage, was opening a new law firm of their own: Cage, Fish & Associates. Richard hired Ally on the spot.By chance, Billy also worked at Cage & Fish. By then, he was married to Georgia.Eventually, Ally discovered that Georgia was the real reason Billy had left her to finish his studies in Michigan.Later, Billy died of a brain tumor.Eventually, John Cage quit, and Richard Fish nearly lost their law firm, due to lax financial practices, but Ally became the chief executive and saved the company.Unfortunately, Ally McBeal finally decided to leave the firm, and was given a tearful farewell by her associates there.
