Alek is Mai, he was born out of the United States. He lived with an older couple in London before he transformed. Once he transformed, the leader of the Mai in San Francisco found him and let him stay with her and her daughter, Jasmine. Alek, a high schooler, is the protector of Chloe King. Chloe is the Uniter of the Mai and it is Alek's job to protect her at all times. Chloe and Alek go to school together and never bothered to become friends. After Chloe finds out she is Mai just like Jasmine and Alek, they start to become better friends.
