FBI Agent Ian Edgerton is described as the FBI's 'go-to' guy and appears to be based at FBI Quantico. A former US Army sniper, described by FBI Agent Granger's Commanding Officer in Kuwait as the bastard son of Dirty Harry and Yoda , Edgerton is also an expert tracker. Granger says that when he was in the Forces you saw Edgerton's work everywhere but you never saw him. In his third appearance in the series, he is described by Don Eppes as the Fifth best shot in the world . Edgerton corrects this and says he is number 4 now. He then comments laconically You don't want to know what I did to move up. By the end, when he has taken a shot through a car window, he expects to be rated number three. We know nothing about Edgerton's home life but we do know that he sees the same therapist as Don Eppes.
