Zay Nuba was born in Madrid, Spain. Her mother, a Spanish secretary at the Egyptian Embassy of Madrid, had known her Egyptian father, who was been posted to this Embassy. Zay's father died unexpectedly when she was only three years old. Sometime later she entered the school "La Sagrada Familia" for doing her Primary education. At the end of her Secondary studies and encouraged by her mother, Zay decided to move to the United States to learn English and finish her last high school year. In California, she met the actress Carmen Nicole who invited her to visit The Actor's Workshop at Sacramento. It is just there where she found a vocation for acting. Coming back from California she entered the Universidad Autnoma of Madrid where she eventually graduated in Arab Studies. During all this period of time she combines her university studies with acting training at the studio "Atico D" run by Felix Belencoso. Simultaneously she had felt deeply attracted by oriental dance. After finishing university she moved to Cairo for a year. She wanted to improve her dance and so her Arabic language. In Cairo she participates in an Arabic play at the Hanager Theater. Back in Madrid after performing some works on television, Zay joins the company "Siwa Oriental Dances" and it is just from one of those performances that the director Enrique Urbizu noticed her. After several auditions she played the main character of the film "La vida mancha". The movie had very good reviews as well as her acting work. From then on Zay has continued combining her acting activities with the oriental dance. She has taken part in several films like "A Golpes", "Imaginario", "Goal 2", "Sansa" "Papeles", "Recoletos", etc. Show less «
