Zack Scott is a "self Taught" Independent filmmakers getting most of what he learned about the filmmaking process by watching Documentaries and listening to Director's Commentaries. After dabbling in short films using a HI-8MM video camera and experimenting with Montage editing with two VCR's he decided to try his hand at making a feature film. In 2001, with $800.00 in his pocket and a month of Vacation time waiting to be used, He produced his first Feature film "The 28th Day". Shot on Digital Video and edited with Adobe Premiere he used everything that he learned from listening to Directors commentaries from such names as Robert Rodriguez, Sam Rami, Ben Burtt, and Tobe Hooper to make what he felt was a entertaining little horror comedy film. In 2006, he secured DVD distribution through Customflix and the film was available for purchase on Amazon.com. In the meantime, he worked on various production with his friend Sean Williams and his company Crackhorse Productions editing two Feature films (Messed in the Head and Up and Coming). After a brief hiatus, Zack returned to the world of Filmmaking in 2009 working on set for the Web Series "One Day" as a production assistant for Crackhorse Productions. In the second season he worked as a Camera Operator and also Directed an Episode in 2010. Besides One Day, Zack also Wrote, Produced, and Edited his own web series, a film review show called "Laserdisc Memories" which has a strong following around the web as well as in the film industry. In 2011, Zack directed a new short film, a follow up to his feature debut "the 28th Day" called "The 28th Day: Liz Lucky and the Amulet of Zasulground" it is currently in post production and will hopefully get play in Film festivals in the near future.
