Born and raised in New York, Yves Beneche has always been interested in the entertainment industry. He was a child actor and had roles in feature films, made for TV movies, and television shows. Yves stopped acting to pursue a career in filmmaking. He received his BA in Film and Video Studies from George Mason University, and is currently in the Film and TV Production MFA program at the University of Southern California and will be graduating in 2018. Yves' interests in history and politics have influenced his passion for telling stories dealing with social justice and have historical significance. Yves has held internships at public relation firms specializing in film marketing as well as several film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival. His most recent films are Fortunate Son, which tells the story of a young black soldier returning home from Vietnam in 1968 and attempts to win back the heart of his true love, and Forget Me Not, which tells the story of two sisters escaping the concentration camps during the Armenian Genocide. Yves is co-founder of Pinnacle Pictures, an independent film production company.
