He is the head of Noci Pictures Entertainment, a managing partner at Nesta One Films & 72Equity, and has consulted to numerous startups on raising capital. After briefly attending the cinema studies program at Columbia College & Loyola University in Chicago, he ultimately majored in sociology and criminal justice with a focus on international organized crime groups and government intelligence agencies at Northeastern Illinois University which opened his world to progressive film & television ideas. His first film "Mr. ID", which he produced & co-directed was a page 1 Daily Variety story about how he met a San Francisco Venture Capitalist in a Yahoo Finance message board for Lions Gate Entertainment and two weeks later the investor wired him the investment to make a film based on Yuri's business plan and script without ever meeting him in person. Yuri worked with all the major agencies including CAA, William Morris, ICM, and APA in casting the film. The film starred Ami Dolenz & Steve Parlevecchio who was the star of Rob Weiss's first film "Amongst Friends", and the DP Tony Hettinger, lensed Neil Labute's first film "In The Company Of Men". The film was licensed and sold throughout the world and is currently available on Video On Demand title on Amazon. The film's lead actor, Steve Parlevecchio unfortunately passed away in 2014 eerily similar to his character in "Mr. Id".Yuri decided to branch out into alternative & reality television. While watching a CNN story on The Scary Guy, he tracked down The Scary Guy who was living in Leeds, UK, and signed him to an exclusive development agreement to create a show around his life. This ultimately resulted in Yuri partnering up on the show with Emmy Award winning producers Matt Renner & Ethan Prochnik of Undertow Films ("Deadliest Catch", "Shark Wranglers").For "Warsaw Chicago", Yuri initially started developing and casting the show nearly two years ago by appearing on the local Fox News station with reporter Anna Davlantes to discuss his ideas for a Polish reality show that would be about substance not shock since Poles are very proud people and he did not want to have a short lived series like "Russian Dolls" or to disparage their culture. He also went on every Polish radio and television station in the United States. After a year long process, he found his perfect cast, spent almost another year developing their trust, and finally directed and produced a sizzle reel for "Warsaw, Chicago". His DP, Scott Drucker is a noted documentary filmmaker with a Masters In Cinema from USC and Yuri is partnered up with him for commercial & fashion shoots, along with editor Olivia Curry who rounded out the "Warsaw, Chicago" production. He is an avid practitioner of Muay Thai & is a Blue Belt In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Rubens 'Cobrinha' Charles. He speaks fluent Russian.
