Yorgos was born in Evia island and the first connection to acting was through high school plays. After graduating he enrolled in baking and pastry school, but during that, he gave entrance exams to the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece and he passed with flying colours. Yorgos came to prominence with his heartbreaking portrayal of Spyros in the TV mini series Maestro (2022) where he portrayed an abused young man in a conservative small island society. After graduating from drama school in 2017, he was in Aeschylus' play "Agamemnon", which was awarded with the Special Committee Prize of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography Festival. From then on, his collaborations in theatre include directors such as Maria Vardaka in Bulgakov's "Crimson Island", Fokas Evaggelinos in his "Dancing on the chessboard", Dimitris Mavrikios in Pirandello's "Tonight we improvise" and Yannis Kalavrianos in Bronte's "Wuthering Heights". In spring 2023 he will commence the filming of the second season of "Maestro" by Christopher Papakaliatis, the first ever Greek production included on Netflix. Show less «
