Yoni Tabac grew up in Rechasim, Israel to blue-collar hard working Romanian holocaust survivors. His dad is an electrician and his mom is a hair stylist. He has one older brother who is married and resides in Israel and is a successful computer technician. One night while up alone and at ten years old, Yoni saw the Israeli equivalent to "Saturday Night Live" and knew immediately this would be the career he would pursue. He wanted to put a smile on people's face. Unfortunately, he was too young to work unless he wanted to jump into the tragic "child star" role. Like many blue-collar kids, education was seen as the way to upward mobility, so he did very well at school. This is also where he began to hone his act using wise-cracks to get thrown out of class and win over some new friends. He was the class clown.Yoni moved to Los Angeles when he was 22 years old, after he finished his military duty, with $421 in his pocket, no car and nobody he knew. He had a variety of jobs and got into a lot of adventures which he tells about in his stand-up routine.Yoni loves to write and his jokes cover every topic known to man. His tales include hilarious "run-ins" with the eccentric people inhabiting the earth to relationships, girls, his wife, sex life, army, odd jobs, traveling, current events, culture shock and all the inner thoughts that make him a comedian.People love his weird and sometime vulgar sense of humor and his uniquely written jokes that always seem to be on the cutting-edge of comedy, which must come from a remote area of his brain. In addition to stand-up he also love to act in movies and was last seen in the leading role of the dark thriller "The Bait" that should be out on DVD in late 2009. The film was shot on location in the beautiful sunny Miami. Show less «

I have wanted to be an actor since I was a teenager in Israel, disobeying my mother to go to the theater and watch movies. I remember the feeling of being transported into the actor's life, situation, dreams and reality. It was a way for me to escape my reality, even if for just a few hours. I would walk out of the theater thinking, I would love to be able to entertain people the way they do! I fell in love with the whole industry one movie at a time. Show less «

I don't agree with the essence of the Oscar awards. I do not think there is a best actor or a best film. It's not like Sports, where you run a marathon at the fastest time and you win the race. You can not decide the same way about the art of acting and film making. Show less «
