From the age of 9, Yasmin Walsh trained in ballet, tap, jazz, singing and drama. At 10 years, she was selected to travel with KICK to the USA where she performed singing and dancing routines at Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, Disneyland Anaheim and Knott's Berry Farm.The following year, Yasmin was asked to travel to New York with the Australian Institute of Performing Arts (AIPA) and perform in the "Macy's Thanksgiving Parade". Yasmin was apart of the opening act and she was one of the first non-Americans ever to be asked to participate in this particular parade.Yasmin shot a Hestia TVC with Nicolette Sheridan (Desperate Housewives) and was a Co-host on "Creature Features" (ABC). At 13, Yasmin was chosen out of hundreds of girls to perform as Angela Robson, Ballet Girl in "Billy Elliot the Musical" Sydney, at the Capital Theatre, which was an enormous national success. Following this, Yasmin was cast as Rosabel in the film "The Distance Between", directed by Michael Fahd. This was funded by the NSW Film and Television Office (FTO) "Young Filmmaker Fund".In 2011, Yasmin appeared in "Dance Academy" (ABC) and was then cast by the Disney Channel (AUS) in a new show "Random Dares", which continues to air. Beginning 2012, Yasmin relocated to the USA after receiving her 01 visa.In early 2013, Yasmin began a 30 week course at TAFTA Sydney, where she studied for 20 weeks in Sydney with Australian industry names such as John Orcsik and Tony Bonner. Yasmin has just begun the second half of her course, where she has relocated to Los Angeles for 10 weeks, studying full time with names such as Aimee Deshayes, William O'Leary, and Andy McPhee.
