Xavier is best known for his role as director of the controversial film I Got Soul (2013). He is also known for his roles in films such as Selena (1997), Step Up (2006). Among urban dance fans and B-boy culture, he is well known as collaborator to the actor/dancers of the original Breakin (1984) MGM franchise.Xavier was born in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Alice Landin, and Xavier Ramirez Sr, a retired United States Airforce master sergeant .He attended Brackenridge High School in San Antonio and St. Mary's University.
