Xander Steel was born on December 26, 1976 in Vancouver, Washington. He is the youngest of six children. As the youngest, Xander was described as being "very outgoing." His two main interests growing up were sports and animals. Though undersized, he was athletically gifted as a soccer player and dreamed of someday playing for the USA National Team. He was also instilled with Christianity at a very young age, attending church with his family. In 1990 , he went to Battle Ground High School, where he was a star on the soccer team. A severe leg injury in his sophomore season put an end to Xanders soccer career and his dreams of playing for the USA. Shortly after this, he turned his focus toward re-building his leg and discovered bodybuilding. He learned everything he could about the discipline of nutrition and training.Working as a Cement Mason in the family business, Xander tired of working construction, and became a Personal Trainer to share his knowledge and help others. He moved to Los Angeles and established a personal training business in Manhattan Beach, CA. Many of his clients worked in the TV/film industry at Manhattan Beach Studios. Deren Sarafian, an established Director, hired Xander as his personal trainer and later cast him as an extra in several CSI episodes. Xander read lines with David Caruso, and received positive feedback. These experiences and many others fueled Xanders desire to develop as a TV/film actor.Xander has gained additional experience working on several student and independent film projects. He continues to study and train in the arts, and won a very small role as a hit man for Director Tedi Sarafian.
