Wes was born in El Paso, Texas. At a young age, Wes realized his passion for acting when he attended a theatrical performance at his elementary school. Seeing the audience reaction to the performers on stage inspired him to join his school theater group, and in 7th grade he gained his first theater show experience when he took the stage as Ebeneezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. That year he won the coveted Best Actor Award at his school, reaffirming that he had not only a passion for acting but talent as well. A character actor, Wes locked himself in his bedroom for hours as a kid and practiced different voices and accents on his tape recorder. His mother, always supportive of his dream, routinely challenged him to try new voices and characters around the house, and often drove him crazy by asking him if he wanted dinner in random accents. After graduating high school Wes attended college briefly and learned it wasn't for him. He made the decision to focus all his energy on a career in acting. Wes gained his first professional gig with The El Paso Mystery Troupe and quickly obtained roles performing with El Paso's Theater INC., The El Paso Mystery Troupe, The El Paso Playhouse, and the Georgetown Palace Theater in Austin, Texas. With experience performing in 15+ theater shows, Wes decided to try his hand at television and in 2014 received a small role on NBC's Revolution. Impressing those around him with his work ethic and dedication, additional roles quickly followed.Wes Cheers resides in Burbank California and is continuing his career in television and film.
