Vicente Blasco Ibáñez was born on January 29, 1867 in Valencia, Spain. He was a writer and director, known for Blood and Sand (1941), The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1921) and Blood and Sand (1922). He was married to Elena Ortuzar and Maria Blasco. He died on January 28, 1928 in Menton, France.
