Velson D'Souza was born in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo State, Brazil. In theater, Velson D'Souza was in shows by Moliere, Fowles, Torero, Shakespeare, Gaultier, Pinter, Arthur Azevedo, and Enda Walsh. He was nominated to Femsa Coca-Cola Award as Best Supporting Actor for his work as William in the play "Chatroom". He was also nominated to the same award as Best Actor for his work in the Commedia Dell'Arte "A Odisséia de Arlequino" written by Marilia Toledo. Winner of Femsa Award for Best Cast for playing Zé in "A Sessao da Tarde" ("Afternoon's Session") and winner of APCA Award for Best Cast for playing Capitano in "A Odisseia de Arlequino" (The Harlequin's Odyssey"). On television he was seen in the Primetime shows "Cidadao Brasileiro" (Record), as Marcel in "Cristal" (SBT), Bruno in "Revelacao" (SBT), and Caua in "Vende-se um Veu de Noiva" (SBT). Right After his last work in Brazil (the play "O Poeta e as Andorinhas" in 2011) he left to New York City where he got his MFA degree in Acting at The New School For Drama. He made his debut in New York City stages playing Cal Donovan in the show "Atalanta K.O." by D.L. Siegel and directed by Gamaliel Valle.
