Vannessa Lim is an Australian actress, radio presenter, advocate, model and NSW National Finalist for international beauty pageant system, Miss Galaxy Australia 2019, as well as, a successful applicant for Miss British Empire Australia 2019. She was born in Battambang, Cambodia, to a Vietnamese/Chinese Teochew/Cantonese Father, and a Cambodian/Chinese Teochew/Mandarin Mother.Vannessa attended West End State School, in Brisbane, Australia, before moving interstate and completed her primary years at Cabramatta Public School.Vannessa completed her senior high at Randwick Girls Technology High School and entered university studies at the University of Sydney where she studied B. Science before she transferred to the University of Wollongong and studied B. Science (Biomedical) in conjunction with Exercise Science in order to meet the prerequisites of the then Sydney College of Chiropractic, and later attended Macquarie University for a bridging course to her Masters of Chiropractic, before graduating from her undergraduate degree.Vannessa has always been athletic playing grade-sports at school, which included netball, softball, hockey, and continues to maintain a healthy lifestyle.Where the arts are concerned, during her school life and parts of her adulthood, she has performed, danced and sang on stage, both small and at the former Sydney Entertainment Centre. She has a love for Shakespeare, and plays, as much as acting and modeling.In the mid-2016, Vannessa made a few guest appearances on "Flashbacks with Richard -Port Stephens FM 100.9", hosted by seasoned radio presenter Richard Mutschall. The program was later changed to, "Flashbacks with Richard and Vannessa - Port Stephens FM 100.9"In September 2016, Vannessa had her own program, which she co-hosted with Richard called, "Baywatch with Vannessa and Richard - Port Stephens FM 100.9" It was a hands-on program, that included on the ground interviews at local events, and live on-air interviews, and the skeleton of the program was based on 3 segments. A "connect" segment that aimed to bring the community together, a "reach out" segment, that aimed to educate and raise awareness of social issues and problems, and a "hip to be square" segment that talked about healthy lifestyle activities or choices.In December 2018, Vannessa started to pursued a career in acting and played a supporting role as an FBI Scientist in "Risen" by Eddie Arya, as her first role, and her first International feature film.In January 2019, Vannessa played a supporting role as Quynh in " The Cost of a Smile" written and directed by Sage Godrei, a preliminary shoot for a feature film.In mid-January 2019, Vannessa played a supporting role, as high-end shop assistance in a silent short film, directed by Victoria Thompson, in a joint production between the Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas, and the Australian Film Television and Radio School.In late January 2019, Vannessa played a featured extra as a church parishioner, in "The Blood of God", a feature film, directed by Davo Hardy Show less «
