Vanessa Walsh has been acting on stage since she was 8 years old. She appeared in musical theater productions her father, David Walsh, directed from the age of 8 to 14. In high school she was captured by Shakespeare's work and that began her love affair with acting and storytelling. Vanessa played Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream the following year, one of many roles she graced in the Bard's cannon.Since landing in Vancouver she has worked steadily in film and television. Some of her credits include: the CW's Supernatural, SyFy's Olympus, and Lifetime's Death of a Vegas Showgirl.Along with her partner in First Glance Productions they produced and starred in the short film, Chiral, written and directed by Karen Lam.Vanessa is a classically trained actor who has appeared on stage as: Marc Anthony in 'Julius Caesar' with Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival; Natalya Petrovna in 'A Month in the Country' and 'Desdemona' in Othello both at The University of Minnesota.Vanessa produced and starred in the one women show 'Shakespeare's Will' playing Anne Hathaway, which she performed in Minneapolis, MN and Courtenay, BC.Vanessa trained in London at The Globe Theatre, with The London International School of Performing Arts and graduated from The University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theatre BFA Actor Training Program.
