Valerie was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA to Andrew Palencar and Genevieve Kaminski. Both were great artists who lived and studied their crafts in NYC. Valerie grew up in the theatre and started acting at the age of 5 as Gretel in, "The Sound of Music". She followed in her parents footsteps and moved to NYC to pursue her acting career more seriously. She has been on the stage or in front of a camera ever since. Valerie worked and performed on stage with Pulitzer Prize Winner, Jason Miller, for almost a decade and appeared in many commercial and theatrical productions. She was the international model for Seagram's Wine Coolers and Black Velvet Whiskey. She is a vested member of Actor's Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA. Valerie is also a professional figure skater. When a knee injury set her back from competing in the Olympics, she decided to turn professional and created an on-ice fitness program called, "ICERSIZE", which is available on DVD and the internet. She is currently working on producing and starring in the feature film, "Found in Tahiti", that she and her sister wrote. Valerie recently appeared in the film, "To The Bone", by Marti Noxon.
