Thai/Chinese American born UTT grew up in California where he attended California State University Northridge before transferring his studies to Thailand at Assumption University, there he studied Communication Arts with a major in Advertising. UTT's popularity is credited to MTV as one of Asia's longest running host for MTVAsia Networks where Singapore was his home base for over a decade. Known simply as VJ Utt, the moniker Utt stuck with him and he is recognized in Southeast Asia by this simple nickname. His full name is Greg Uttsada Panichkul and recent acting projects can be found credited this way.He's had a wide range of experience that includes both hosting and acting, besides the television medium he is a natural on stage having hosted Live events such as the Asia Television Awards, Mandarin Music Honors, Pageant shows, MTV events and awards, Men's and Women's Fashion Weeks, F1 Races, and more to name a few. On television he has hosted a wide range of genres from Music, Beauty, Children's, Reality, Competitions to the Supernatural presenting tales from beyond from countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia (a la Ripley's Believe It or Not) called Incredible Tales which has ran for 8 seasons.UTT is also an established Actor, acting in over a dozen TV Dramas in both Thailand and Singapore and several have been critically received. His English series "Chase" is an Award-winning screenplay adapted for television in a 13 part series (Media Development Authority and Mediacorp Singapore produced) has been well received and bought over to countries such as Japan. As such a spin off to the series "Chase" comes in the form of "Afterhours" with Utt leading the cast. His foray into films, includes a U.S. produced film called Tied In Knots, and a recent Thai Film called "Fathers" which has been critically well received in which he plays a Gay Father raising an adopted son.UTT is the face of countless endorsements he displays the right balance with his features a blend that gives him the opportunity to cross different International markets.
