Troy Hammond has been, for almost two decades, the only countrywide-touring blind comedian in America, performing in 32 states - maybe more, considering the duplicitous nature of some of his traveling companions. While his inspirational story would sound like something out of Reader's Digest, his act is more akin to Mad Magazine, full of wild experiences unknown to most individuals, sighted or otherwise. Hammond has worked with a litany of respected comedy figures, including Dave Chappelle, Drew Carey, and "30 ROCK" creator John Riggi, and has garnered a following on the classic rock circuit as well, opening for Jan and Dean, Leon Russell, and Edgar Winter. In addition to his long comedy career, Hammond has been a respected motivational speaker, animation voice artist, and radio disc jockey. Show less «
