Tracy Walker has always loved music and theater.In the seventh grade, she learned clarinet and made her stage debut as the female lead in a junior high play in Madison, Wisconsin. At Edgewood High School, she participated in Concert Band, Pep Band, Jazz Ensemble and the Pit Orchestra for musicals, and was the recipient of college scholarships and musical awards. She performed with "Stage Coach Players" (theater) and was named in "Who's Who Among American High School Musicians."Attending college at both Edgewood College and the University of Wisconsin (Madison), Tracy majored in Music and Education. She taught herself trumpet to earn a spot in the prestigious UW Marching Band, where she was a member while attending college. While in the UW Band, she made commercials for McDonald's and appeared on "Lenny's Inferno" with other Band members. She also appeared in the movie, "Back to School" which was filmed partly on the UW campus.From 1998-2005, Tracy was extremely active with the UW Alumni Band, and she also worked as a Field Assistant with the UW Marching Band. While employed at Edgewood College, she studied French Horn, performed with the Campus Community Band, the Jazz Ensemble, and performed in and directed numerous plays. She and her husband, Bill, also started the Red Hot Horn Dawgs (rock & soul, rhythm & blues) Show Band, in which she arranged music and played trumpet, flugelhorn, and auxiliary percussion. In 2005 she completed degrees at Edgewood College in Music and Theater Production & Design. Immediately after graduation, their family moved to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where they reside today. In 2012 she completed her Master's Degree in Professional Studies, Strategic Leadership from Middle Tennessee State University.Still active in music, Tracy and Bill started The Atomic Horns band and still perform with Soul Candy & the Traffic Jam band, in which Tracy sings and plays trumpet and auxiliary percussion. She performs in local theater productions, and in TV and movie roles in E TN, and volunteers for local animal organizations. Show less «
