Tracy Melchor grew up in Pickering, Ontario, and graduated from Seneca College's Radio and Television Program. Melchor is a seasoned entertainment reporter who has interviewed hundreds of stars including Diddy, Denzel Washington, INXS, Mariah Carey, Madonna, John Travolta, Janet Jackson, Paris Hilton, Shakira, and Sheryl Crow. Melchor also spoke one-on-one with Madonna for the TV special Madonna: Confessions.Melchor began her entertainment career as Host of Rapcity on MuchMusic, before moving to Citytv Toronto as an Entertainment Specialist. In 2000, Melchor relocated to Los Angeles, California where she guest starred on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Lizzie McGuire, and reported from red carpets as the Hollywood Correspondent for Star!. Melchor also hosted Extreme Close Up, F.Y.E. - For Your Entertainment, and Style VIP. Melchor returned to Canada in 2005 to host MuchMoreMusic.Before joining the cast of etalk as an entertainment reporter in 2008, Melchor contributed to etalk's "T'N'T Report" with Tanya Kim, covering the Oscars® and the SuperBowl, and co-hosted CTV's coverage of Live Earth in London, England in 2007. Melchor is a regular contributor to CTV News Channel and CHUM FM and reports daily entertainment news on CP 24.When she is not filming entertainment reports, Melchor is busy spending time with her twins Phoenix and Phoebe and supporting numerous charities. In 2009, Melchor walked in the closing night show Dare To Wear Love during L'Oréal Fashion Week in support of The Steven Lewis Foundation. She also supports Covenant House, Sick Kids Hospital, and Fashion Cares. In addition, Melchor is an accomplished writer with articles published in Magazines including Elle, Essence and Source.
