The Dollyrots are a first-rate pop punk trio. The band members are: Kelly Ogden (vocals/bass), Luis Cabezas (guitar), and Chris Black (drums). The Dollyrots were founded in 2000 by Ogden and Cabezas while they where attending the New College of Florida (Ogden and Cabezas have known each other since the 8th grade). The group was initially established just for fun, but decided to go professional after George W. Bush won the 2000 presidential election. Ogden and Cabezas moved to Los Angeles, California in January, 2002 and self-released their debut album "Eat My Heart Out" to great acclaim. They signed to the label Lookout!/Panic Button Records in 2004; the label re-released their debut album. Original drummer Amy Woods left the band and was replaced by current drummer Chris Black. The Dollyrots switched to the label Blackheart Records in 2006 and released their second album "Because I'm Awesome" on March 13, 2007. The terrifically catchy and witty titular song proved to be a big hit; it's not only been featured on episodes of the TV shows "Ugly Betty," "Bad Girls Road Trip," and "Greek," but also in a TV commercial for Kohls department store (the band makes an appearance at the end of this TV commercial). Moreover, the group appeared as the fictional indie rock band Rough Sects on the "Stuck on You" episode of "CSI: NY;" the songs "Kick Me to the Curb" and "Goodnight Tonight" were also featured on the soundtrack of this particular episode. In addition, The Dollyrots' song "Watch Me Go (Kissed Me Killed Me)" was featured on the "Charged" episode of the TV series "Reaper." The Dollyrots were featured on the 2006 Vans Warped Tour and have appeared on two subsequent Warped Tours. The group released their third album "California Beach Boy" in January, 2010. A fourth album entitled "The Dollyrots" came out in 2012.
