Telvin Marjuan Griffin, born in Texarkana, Arkansas, is one of the nation's top up and coming actors under 30. As a child, Telvin's parents knew their son would be doing something in the entertainment industry. But with no steady income they preferred him to have a corporate job instead for stability. He always had a microphone in his hand talking to an imaginary audience inside his home. Most of Telvin's family thought he would grow up to be a preacher but Telvin had other plans. His mom had him in every sport that the boys and girls club offered while he was a child until he was old enough to play for the school district. Telvin grew up in the church playing the piano for local choirs and guest singers. He also played the saxophone during his tenure in band. He was the minister of music for his uncle's church in his hometown. While attending high school Telvin learned how to speak in front of a camera as he was the school's anchor for announcing the school's announcements. While in high school Telvin lettered in football winning back-to-back state championships. After graduating he immediately attended the University of Arkansas where he was a walk-on wide receiver for three seasons. Telvin knew that his destiny wasn't in sports but in the entertainment field so he continued to study broadcast journalism. It was during college when he signed with his first agent out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, The Linda Layman Agency. She told him that he had a very pretty smile and he would go far if he worked hard. While signed with the agency he booked his first acting job with Walmart. After graduating in 2012 he moved to Dallas to be closer to more auditions which proved to be a good decision. Telvin has appeared on BET's former #1 music show 106 and Park as an up and coming host. Although he came in second place this fueled him to continue to work hard at his craft. He is complimented on his very charming and breath-taking smile everywhere he goes. His personality is contagious. In 2015 He booked his first supporting lead role in the independent feature film Jerico starring JoMarie Payton (Family Matters), Gregg Daniels (True Blood), and George Wallace. The future is very bright for Telvin and with his passion and commitment the sky is the limit.
