Tekola also plays Stavian in the Netflix original Amateur (2018).Prior to landing this role, Tekola hosted a web series called "Tekola Takes Off", traveling across the globe and off the beaten path to experience and share cultures foreign to Americans.Tekola is a long way from home - he was born in a hut in rural Ethiopia, orphaned at the age of three, and adopted by American parents when he was four.
