Tara was born in Edmonton, Alberta, raised in Calgary, and graduated from the University of Alberta Drama program with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, thereafter performing in several productions as part of the Edmonton International Fringe Festival.After her inaugural theatrical production upon relocating to Vancouver in 2006 ("Hamlet", Ophelia), Tara has appeared in several stage productions with Twenty-Something Theatre including Brad Fraser's "Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love", and the world premier of "Prodigals" in 2011, now being adapted into a feature film.The fantasy-comedy web series, Standard Action, found a loyal following in the gaming world as well as the web series community. Tara was nominated for a Leo award in 2015 for her performance in another web series, Aeternus.No Men Beyond This Point had its North American premiere at TIFF in 2015, and Tara was awarded the Vancouver Film Critics Circle award for Best Supporting Actress in a Canadian Film in 2016 for her role as Terra Granger.Tara is represented by Jaye Riske with Principals Talent.
