Tara Elliott is an American actress who was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tara can be seen on the big screen in upcoming films such as The Guest (2014) and Blood Father (2016), as well as her many appearances in the television series Longmire (2012), and Manhattan (2014) where she has a re-occuring role and appears in 12 episodes. Tara is also working as a stand-in on the highly anticipated television series Better Call Saul (2015). Tara is the daughter of Regina Buttz - a retired school teacher, and James Buttz - a retired Robotics Electrical Technician. Growing up, Tara was a very happy and creative girl who loved socializing, cheerleading, and choreographing dance routines with her older sister. She was often described as a "Ray of Sunshine" since she was always smiling. Tara graduated from La Cueva High School in 1997, where she attained her Thespian status and enjoyed taking drama classes and being a part of class productions. It was soon after high school that she discovered swing dancing - which was love at first dance for Tara. It was this love of swing dancing that drove her into performing, competing, and eventually teaching swing dance for many years. After college, Tara decided to spread her wings and moved to San Diego for a few years, and then on to Washington working in Real Estate, Loan Processing, and Business Administration. Once back in Albuquerque, Tara noticed the recent film and television industry boom of her hometown. In recent years, Albuquerque has been frequently named the "new Hollywood" for film and television production. Tara was discovered by a casting agency who asked her if she would be interested in working on the Television show Longmire (2012). This sparked her earlier love of acting and she was more than happy to be a part of this new industry boom. From there, the acting opportunities snowballed and offers just kept coming along for Tara. In recent years, she has taken acting classes from some of the top professionals in the industry such as Brad Heller and Benson Simmonds. Expect to see this talented young beauty a lot more in many future productions.
