Steve joined the Screen Actors Guild after earning supporting roles in film and television, such as "Breakdown", with Kurt Russell and "Take Me Home Again"(also known in syndication as "The Lies Boys Tell")with Kirk Douglas and Craig T. Nelson, "Hollywood Safari" with Sam Jones, and many more. At about this same time he also got into voice over work doing trailers and commercials, and although he enjoys the work, his first love is live entertainment.Steve Waddington is also fast becoming one of the foremost Dean Martin Tribute Artists in the industry. All the mannerisms, the voice, the wry humor and boozy swagger...and the ever-present drink and cigarette (un-lit of course!)...combine to make him one of the top professionals in his field. He's performed solo, or with various "Rat Pack" tribute groups as well as "A Tribute to Martin and Lewis". Close your eyes, and you'll almost swear it was "Dino" singing all his hits. Open your eyes, and you won't believe how much fun you'll have watching this entertainer create the illusion of one of our most beloved icons. A veteran of clubs, casinos, film, television and events, Steve brings the relaxed charm, wit and seemingly effortless style of "Dino" to today's audiences. And, he sings in Italian, a definite plus while being one of the featured headline performers at the "Feast of San Genarro" (aka the Italian Festival) on the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage for the last five years in a row. He's also known for grabbing his trusty acoustic guitar and launching into his spot-on-yet-hilarious impersonations of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond and more.Steve has been a performing and recording singer, songwriter and guitarist for most of his adult life. He started his career in the 1970's as the lead singer in the seminal oldies rock and roll show band "Cruis'n". From Northern California to the world beyond, Cruis'n performed an estimated 200 shows per year for over 12 years, headlining their own shows, touring with the legendary Wolfman Jack, making TV and radio appearances and packing clubs, concerts, and casinos. Steve's natural ability to mimic voices, especially his Elvis impersonation, garnered rave reviews, as well as a brief meeting with Elvis himself in 1976 at San Francisco's Cow Palace. He was offered his own Las Vegas show repeatedly, but he preferred the variety of touring with Cruis'n.From there, Steve went on to form "Steve One and the Shades", a popular all-original concert band that shared the stage with such contemporaries as Chris Isaak, Huey Lewis and the News, Eddie Money, Greg Kihn, and more. Steve penned all the songs on their two critically acclaimed albums, "Once in a Lifetime" and "The Shades LP".Steve Waddington is an entertainer's entertainer. A consummate professional with a lifetime of experience, a great sense of humor and an unassuming attitude that makes him a pleasure to work with.
