Stefano Baroni was born in Viareggio in August 29, 1957. For many years he photographed the world of Italian culture, collaborating with various publishers, including Einaudi, Rizzoli, Mondadori, Skira and the New York Times. Since 2007, he began a personal search, starting from photography as a reproduction of reality, arriving at a digital abstraction through various manipulation. Recent exhibitions include participation in at the 54th Venice Biennale, in 2011, curated by Vittorio Sgarbi, and in 2012 he had a solo show at Paola Raffo Contemporary Art Gallery in Pietrasanta. In 2013 he exhibited at the Blue Corner gallery in Carrara and the Fondaco gallery in Rome. In 2015, he had a solo show at Paola Raffo Contemporary Art Gallery in Pietrasanta, followed by an exhibition at Cartasia Lucca Ducal Palace as part of the International Paper Biennial in 2016, then in November 2016 he participated in the exhibition Icarus at the Zeelong space Vishal Grote Mark in Haarlem NL.In 2017 he head a solo show At Estra Studio in Florence.
