Skylar Angeleise Lanier was born on August 5th, 2002. She has always had a big imagination, which led to her writing, directing, and performing in plays whether with her school, her friends, or her siblings. In 2012, she was accepted into her school's Gifted/Talented program for drama/theater. Later that same year, she attended her first audition for the Disney Channel in Wilmington, NC. While she was waiting for her audition, she got to meet Judy Taylor. From that moment on, all she could talk about was the next audition. Two months later, she signed on with Hutson Talent Agency, and one month after that got her first role in "I Dated A Psycho". She had so much fun with that role, that she immediately began looking for others. She went to an open call for background characters for AMC's "Turn", and got called back to participate in that series. She frequently said that acting "is her life", and she "would do it all day, every single day" if she could. She has participated in many things in order to learn about a variety of activities. These include: Dance at the age of 3, T-ball at the age of 5, Cheerleading at age 6, Girl Scouts at age 8, Dance (new styles) at age 9, Painting at age 11, Cheerleading (for school) at age 12, and Gymnastics at age 12.
