Shweta Bachchan-Nanda was born on March 17, 1974 in Bombay (present-day Mumbai), Maharashtra to actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri. Her brother is Abhishek Bachchan. She is an Indian author, columnist, journalist, television presenter and former model. She made her acting debut as a model for television advertisement. Nanda modeled for the first time in September 2006, as a magazine entitled L'Officiel India. She appeared in the seventh annual issue of the same magazine, in June 2009, with her brother Abhishek.
