Shila Vosough Ommi is an actress, director, writer and producer who was born in Tehran, Iran, and grew up in Los Angeles.She is the founder of the theater company, Turquoise Heart Productions, which garnered awards and fantastic reviews at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2015. For over a decade, Shila toured the globe as the lead actress and co-artistic director of Workshop '79, a theater company spearheaded by the acclaimed Iranian playwright/actor/ director Houshang Touzie. For the past 12 years, she has been performing leading roles in plays produced for Iranian audiences world wide.A graduate of UCLA, she received Honors for her Bachelors of Science in Biological Anthropology, with a minor in Biology, and has written a published thesis on parental investment among vervet monkeys. She later attended the Ruskin School of Acting where she studied under the tutelage of Sir Anthony Hopkins.Shila made her indie film debut in the Award winning film, 'Liberation', where she played the role of Empress Farah Pahlavi. In addition to emceeing charities, hosting award shows, moderating discussion panels, producing and directing highly viewed music videos on the web, and occasionally performing stand-up comedy, Shila is also a prolific voice-over artist voicing for medical/pharmaceutical instructional videos and animated films.
