Shelley grew up in Rockford, Illinois as an honor roll student who graduated early and became an intern on the Illinois House and Senate floor at the age of 17. At 18, she jetted off to Europe to explore the European lifestyle for 4 months at the urging of a famous rock star she was dating. Instead of returning to Rockord, she decided to head to the west coast (San Diego) and forego the brutal Midwest winters. She soon found herself employed by the self-help guru Tony Robbins as a franchise administrator at the age of 25. While she was working for Tony, she met and became fast friends with a member of the Shore family (The Comedy Store). Soon after, she was asked to become the General Manager of the La Jolla Comedy Store by Mitzi Shore who saw Shelley's drive, passion, business sense and management abilities. After a couple of years at The La Jolla Comedy Store, she moved to Arizona to manage the Tempe Improv and two years later was offered her own Improv club in Ontario, California as General Manager. This club became the number one club in the nation under her tenure and became the most sought after club for comics to record their live comedy albums due to the unprecedented crowds. The word spread through the comedy industry about how great the Ontario Club was. Shortly after, Shelley received a phone call from the Shore family noting what she had done in Ontario and that they've heard great things about her club. They asked her to come work at the Hollywood Comedy Store as the Vice President of Operations where she was in charge of overseeing the operations of both the Hollywood and La Jolla clubs, negotiating and drawing up contracts with the agents and talent, booking location agreements and procuring shows that would bring in business. One of her many successes as VP was contacting Guy Torry to bring back Phat Tuesdays which proved to be a huge success the second time around. Catch her in episodes 2 and 3 of Phat Tuesdays airing on Amazon February 4, 2022. Show less «
