Originally hailing from Chelmsford, MA, Shayan Sobhian began acting in high school after begging his guidance counselor to get him out of gym class, only to find himself in an acting class instead. Even though he'd never really acted before, his teacher saw potential for talent and suggested he audition for the play. He got the lead and instantly fell in love with the community, collaboration and creativity of the theatre. After several leading roles and numerous awards, he felt confident enough to pursue acting as a career. In the spring of his senior year of high school, Shayan was accepted into the prestigious BFA Acting Program at SUNY Purchase. He trained for four years until completing the program in the spring of 2017. Through the school he met manager and fellow Purchase Alumnus, Eric Kind. Upon Eric's urging, Shayan moved to LA shortly after graduating to begin his acting career in Hollywood.Slow to start, Shayan began finding his way, working at a taco shop, a juice bar, a yoga studio, and then eventually finding his place as the assistant to Zak Barnett at Zak Barnett Studios. There, under the tutelage of Zak, Shayan learned the ins and outs of the industry to the point where he finally felt like he was a part of it. It was there he also taped and got coaching for his breakout role of Behrad on DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
