Shawn was born in Burlington, Ontario, Canada on April 3, 1981. He has one older sister, Laura, a younger sister, Jacqueline, and younger brother, Andrew.Shawn's dad was in the Navy so the family moved from Burlington to Kingston, ON, then to San Antonio, TX, then Toronto, ON. The family moved to Dartmouth, NS when Shawn was 10, where he still lives. He studied Drama at Acadia University.Growing up Shawn's hero was Harrison Ford, who he got to meet when he played an extra in K-19: The Widowmaker.Shawn performs in local theater productions every opportunity he gets.
