Shaun Mazoka (born Mazzocca) was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. He took to the stage at an early age in a local stage production of Oliver! Shaun continued to perform on the stage throughout his childhood and teenage years, as well as becoming involved in various film projects and music videos, often with Mimetic Productions and being directed by friend and local filmmaker Gavin Michael Booth. Shaun excelled in athletics as a young adult, namely in football. Shaun played for three seasons as a linebacker for local semi-pro team the Windsor AKO Fratmen.Upon graduating from the University of Windsor with a BA in Honours Psychology, Shaun relocated his base to Toronto, Ontario to pursue his true passion of film acting and training with coaches such as Lewis Baumander, Theresa Sears & David Switzer and at institutions such as the Second City. Shaun Mazoka has since appeared in a principal role in the Space Channel/Syfy Channel hit TV show, "Paranormal Witness" in an episode that examines the controversial incident at Rendlesham Forest - (S3E20 "The Rendlesham Files). (2013) Shaun also trains diligently in boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.Armed with a quick wit, excellent improvisational skills and a temperament that lends itself to complete acting flexibility, Shaun Mazoka is continuously in demand for a wide variety of roles. In fact, for each of the last four years the Detroit Actors Guild has specifically asked him to reprise his role as "Michael Just" in the hilarious interactive wedding production of "Tony n' Tina's Wedding."Shaun Mazoka works throughout Ontario in television, indie films, music videos and full-length feature films. Shaun co-starred in the softball mockumentary film, "Softballs" (2012) which sold out all eight of its independent theater showings as well as its corporate chain debut with Cineplex Odeon. He also recently jumped at the chance to work with director Gavin Michael Booth once again in the film The Scarehouse (2014).A self-proclaimed "Superman nerd", Shaun has a love of all things relating to the iconic superhero and counts Christopher Reeve among his personal acting heroes, as well as Henry Cavill who recently starred as Superman in Man of Steel (2013).
