Sergio was born in Miami, Florida but his parents soon moved to Greenwich Connecticut where he grew up. At the age of 7 his father took a job in Logroño, La Rioja in Spain. Sergio lived there until 1997. His family later moved back to their home country Chile. There he finished high school at Saint George's College, afterwards he studied Film at the Uniacc University in Santiago de Chile.During his last year at the University Uniacc, Miguel Littin, discovered him and used him as a supporting actor in the film 'Dawson: Isla 10' which ultimately represented Chile in it's Foreign Language submission for the 2010 Annual Academy Wards.At Sergio's graduation from University in 2010, Gonzalo Justiniano asked him to be his 2nd AD for the film '¿Alguien ha visto a Lupita?' for the Chilean shoot. Sergio eventually became the First AD for the Mexican and US portion of the shoot.In the beginning of 2011 Sergio with 2 of his best friends from his University and DP Ignacio Walker (Old friend from his school) shot 'The Silent Earth: Juan in a Million' Having no money at all to shoot it Sergio and his crew shot the film entirely on their own. Sergio wrote, co-directed with Nicolás Klein and Denis Arqueros, edited and acted the film. The film went on to be selected at over 15 different international film festivals.Sergio developed a hobby while editing his feature film 'The Silent Earth: Juan in a Million' Sergio became interested in shooting time lapses. Many local companies ordered him to work on short films involving Time Lapses. Sergio is currently represented by Getty Images and has a vast catalog of stock footage available through them.He also serves as AD for many other films. Has worked as personal Assistant & Translator for Eli Roth in 'Green Inferno' & 'Knock, Knock' Producer for the Chilean documentary 'Las Mujeres del Pasajero' Sergio is known for performing a variety of jobs in the Film business. He also directs commercials in Chile.He's currently prepping his first US film and is co-writing with José Luis Cornejo a Chilean teen comedy expected to shoot late 2015 or early 2016.
